We're looking for an experienced Devops Engineer deeply familiar with AWS to help us scale our infrastructure for high-traffic apps and services, setup and maintain a deployment pipeline among local, staging, and production environments, and create monitoring services. This engineer will work with our existing dev team, collaborating on the best ways to tackle engineering challenges.

Responsibilities:

• Be the sole full-time devops engineer on the team, while working with and directing freelance devops engineers
• Strong communication skills with an ability to communicate with the dev team in particular, working with existing developers to devise smart solutions
• Manage and track AWS costs, finding areas where we can optimize cost

Requirements:

• Deep AWS knowledge and experience across multiple services, particularly: Elastic Beanstalk, Code Deploy, EC2, RDS, Elastic Search, Cloudfront, Cloudwatch
• You are passionate about continually improving our devops automation pipelines and workflows
• Web apps receiving millions of daily hits don’t scare you
• You’ve set up sophisticated automated monitoring dashboards and tools for high scale apps
